I noticed quite a few artists do pieces about sports. I don’t want to fall in the “commercial trap” by going down the list of all the sports in order to “sell” to a larger quantity of people. I wanted to do a piece with a subject that is close to my heart. Since I play tennis regularly three times a week, I thought I could do something involving the sport that I really loved. The reason I love tennis is because it is a mental game like Chess, with the added physical activity. I also like the fact that you are alone and the only one to blame in case of a loss, is yourself. Living in the desert, I have played many times in the blazing hot sun in a quasi-delirious state.
